- Qingdao library was granted the honorable tile of “advanced collective of National Cultural and Educational Heroes”.
- 1989
- Qingdao library was granted the honorable tile of “advanced library of Shandong Province”.
- 1993-1994
- Qingdao library was granted the honorable tile of “ Qingdao civilized unit model”.
- 1997
- Qingdao library won the first place in the 3rd Shandong public library business competition. The library also won the honorable tile of “advanced unit through the joint efforts of the army and the masses of Qingdao”.
- 2001
- Qingdao library won the first place in the 4th Shandong public library business competition.
- 2005
- The Ministry of Culture appraised the Library to be a National Grade I Library in the 3rd national public library evaluation and grading.
- 2006
- Qingdao library won the first place in group and “excellent organization award” in the 5th Shandong public library business competition.
- 2008
- Qingdao library was granted the honorable tile of “national key unit of ancient books protection” and “advanced unit for ancient books protection of Shandong Province”.
- 2010
- The Ministry of Culture appraised the Library to be a National Grade I Library in the 4th national public library evaluation and grading . Qingdao library also won the honorable tile of “library characteristic services brand” of Shandong Province by virtue of Qingdao Culture Lecture Hall.
